Karen Farnum-Williams
Karen Farnum-Williams attended LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, majoring in dance and continued in the field as she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from Adelphi University.
In 1999, she obtained a Master’s of Arts degree in Performing Arts Administration from New York University. For over 15 years, Karen has taught dance in NYC public and private schools, local dance schools and local churches, teaching African, modern, jazz, and ballet.
Karen is co-director of the 200+ member Allen Liturgical Dance Ministry of the Greater Allen Cathedral of NY in Jamaica, Queens. Karen is also the founder of Kaphar (Hebrew translation: Reconciliation) Dance Company, which is a professional dance ministry established to affirm, confirm, and transform lives through the seamless marriage of the Word of God and technical dance movement.
