InnerVisions. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. We have served the Jamaica, Queens community since September 2008. Our primary focus is to provide exceptional dance training, in a wide range of styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and African dance. We welcome individuals aged 3 and above to join our vibrant dance community.

InnerVisions students actively engage with the community, performing for local outreach programs and community events throughout New York. They showcase their remarkable growth and development through performances held throughout the dance school year, providing a chance for parents, families, and the surrounding community to witness and appreciate their talents. These performances celebrate the dedication and talent within our dance community, fostering unity and a deep appreciation for the arts.As a non-profit organization, our dedication lies in providing accessible and quality dance education to our students, nurturing their passion for dance, and helping them develop essential life skills.

NAILAH FLAKE

FOUNDER and
ARTISTIC CO-DIRECTOR

Innervisions Theater Arts Center was founded by Nailah Flake in July 2008 and stands as a testament to her lifelong dedication to dance and the arts. Nailah began her dance journey at the age of four, immersing herself in various forms of dance such as Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African, Tap, and Pointe. Her training at the Theater of Dance Movement and Devore Dance Center, where she actively participated in their performing companies,

ignited her passion for teaching and choreography, leading her to become an instructor at the age of sixteen. Nailah also served as the captain of the Morehouse College Mahogany-N-Motion Dance Team and currently co-directs a 200-member dance ministry at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of NY. Under her guidance, the ministry has produced and performed in major productions combining dance, drama, and music. In addition to her dedication to the arts and nurturing aspiring dancers, Nailah has achieved remarkable success in her over 20-year career in investment banking, finance, and capital markets. She currently serves as a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management in the Real Estate Group, responsible for sourcing investments for Brookfield's real estate finance funds. Before her tenure at Brookfield, Nailah spent 17 years at Morgan Stanley, where she climbed the ranks to become the Managing Director and head of originations for the commercial real estate lending group. Nailah actively participates in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Greater New York Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. Through her work at Innervisions Theater Arts Center and her success in finance, Nailah continues to inspire and uplift others.
